Complete Surrender

Psalms 101:1-4; 8
As I was ministering in a recent service, the Lord gave me a new revelation of a timeless passage that I want to pass along as encouragement to stay on the firing line, hold tight the course.

It seems we are always encouraged to continually "give everything to the Lord". "Give your all" is the common refrain of many of our worship songs and the passionate cry of many men and women of God. In a day with so many various definitions of "truth" in the haze it can be easy to forget what it really looks like to dedicate our lives in service to the Lord in complete fullness.

Who would know better than the one of which the Lord has said, "He has a heart after my heart". (Acts 13:22)

In the 101st chapter of the psalms David makes this promise to the Lord, one that provides a timeless pattern of living for the believer. He opens by saying "I will sing of Your love forever, to you O Lord I will sing praise, I will be careful to live a blameless life." This simply means David was establishing a pattern of worship.David commits to giving his all in times of song as well as in a determined Godly lifestyle every day.

"I will walk in my house with a blameless heart, I will set no vile thing before my eyes. I will have nothing to do with evil".

This simply means drawing the line and sticking to it, a standard of
righteousness.

"Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land. I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the Lord."

Paul calls this in the new testament crucifying the flesh. Every day we
renew our commitment to the Lord and set things right in our
relationship.

Giving our all means a pattern of worship, holding to rock solid convictions based on the Word and daily renewal. "Giving our all to the Lord."
